My heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones in the 9/11 terrorist attack and the military members who have lost their lives in the war against terrorism. While I am grateful for the courage of those who brought justice to the devastation of 9/11, I can’t help but wonder what is going on in the hearts and minds of the wounded victims and the families of the countless dead tonight with the news of the death of Osama Bin Laden. May you all be blessed and comforted with peace. <3
This overachiever thing. It works well when looking at it from the outside. But from the inside it is quite a different story. Wanting to do something, anything, to distract myself from the pain. Overachieving and being a workaholic is a wonderful way to distract myself from the pain. What pain? I don’t even know. But it is there. Inside. Sometimes dull. Sometimes overwhelming. I have a hunch it has to do with not feeling good enough. Correction: feeling like I am not good enough. Not good enough for anything but perfection; for if I fail, I will surely prove my unworthiness.
Every once in a while just the right tweet will hit you at just the right time in just the right way on just the right day. These are the top 31 tweets* which did that to me. Enjoy! (p.s. 31 is just random — these are most of the tweets I have “favorited” since I started tweeting. 31 does, however, remind me of Baskin-Robbins 31 Flavors. Maybe 31 is just a good number)

Self acceptance leads to success, not the other way around.
I’ll admit. Watching this trailer of “The Black Mamba” left me asking, “Is this a real movie? Or is this a clever marketing campaign by Nike?” OR is it both?
So, then I googled “the black mamba movie” and found this page — from “The Laker’s Nation”
I’m not gonna lie. It still looks like a marketing campaign. Even though it promises a full-length feature film to be streamed live from the facebook fan page. Okay, well, that’s clever enough, no? But I had to do it — I clicked on the facebook fan page — where I am met with a real-looking movie poster stating that in order to watch movie live on February 19th I had to “like” the facebook page. So, I did. I “liked” it. I wasn’t the first one lured in. Evidently I was the 2,325,432nd one to “like” this page. (go ahead, try to speak that number out loud. I double-dog-dare you)
At this point, all I can say is — Nike Basketball — you are freaking brilliant. I don’t like basketball. I’m not a fan of Kobe Bryant. I don’t even wear Nike shoes. But I will probably watch this movie (not that it is real). Well-done.
Watching Suze Orman on “Oprah’s All Stars” on the new OWN channel, and Suze tells about unlcaimed money you can search for online.
I’m like, OH! I want some unclaimed money!!! So I started searching.
Well. Do you? This is not really as personal of a question as it might sound. And it is quite possible that you are an excessive pronator without even knowing it.
I was shopping online for some shoes and stumbled across this video about pronators; overpronators, underpronators, supinators, normal pronators. There is a simple test you can do at home with items in your own kitchen before you order your running shoes online from Amazon.com in the middle of the night! Saweet! Continue reading →
Happily sitting here updating my blog (sort of) with the news in the background and I hear, “More on the Potato Ban coming up.”
Really? You know how a dog turns his head while he’s trying to understand what are saying to him? That’s what I am metaphorically doing right now. Continue reading →
